Hampton, Va. - Two bullets hit the front of The Casbar Restaurant on Shell Road in Hampton on Tuesday night as it was still open.

"I went in. I was like, 'Yo is everybody here good?'" said Elizabeth Nickelson, who works there. "It kind of blew them back because you come here and you feel like you can be safe."

Shots were also fired on Pine Oak Court on Tuesday morning, hitting two homes, according to police. Bullets went through one family's garage door and hit the front door as they slept inside.

More shots were fired along Bay Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. In that case, no one was hurt and no property was damaged.

"I mean something has to give because there's just too much violence and stuff going on," said Nickelson.

She hopes the shooting won't have a lasting impact. "When stuff like this happens, it kind of changes the dynamic, but hopefully we won't experience anything like this again."

Neighbors just hope their loved ones and friends won't be hurt.

"It's scary because you don't want anything to happen to yourself and to them."
