Newport News police searching for man who robbed CVS

Newport News, Va. - Police are still searching for the man who robbed the CVS at 13000 Warwick Blvd. on September 30th.

The man walked into the CVS at 7pm and demanded money from a clerk at gunpoint, then fired a shot into the ceiling.

The clerk gave the man money from several registers. The suspect then approached a second employee and demanded money and property from her.

Witnesses reported the man got into the passenger side of a silver Chevrolet Impala which was parked at/near Advanced Auto.

The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on Warwick Blvd.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years old, 5’10”-6’0”, 170-175lbs. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt/sweater, black Chicago Bulls cap, black scarf covering lower part of face and was armed with a small black handgun.
