Chesapeake, Va - With two chances of snow in the forecast this week, people are rushing to stores to stock up on winter gear.

"I want to get it now in case the weather is bad," says Conway Telfeyan who was filling her cart at Farm Fresh to prepare for the weekend.

"Over the past couple days we've been very busy with people coming in, getting snow shovels, ice melt, various things getting ready for the storm," says Derek Staton, the manager of the Taylor's Do It Center on Battlefield Boulevard in Chesapeake.

Staton says shovels are moving fastest, with ice melt that people put on sidewalks and porches coming in a close second. They even had to put a limit on the number of bags each customer was allowed to buy because they saw so many people stocking up.

The bottom line is: it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
