Chesapeake, Va. – An early morning fire damaged four apartment units and displaced 11 occupants in the South Norfolk section of Chesapeake on Sunday.
Firefighters were called to the fire in the 3200 block of Border Road at 7:15 a.m.
Arriving 12 minutes later, they found heavy fire coming from a two-story apartment building. Firefighters quickly contained the fire, bringing it under control at 7:46 a.m. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
There were no injuries, and the Red Cross has been contacted to assist with four of the displaced occupants. Those occupants not requiring Red Cross assistance have made area lodging arrangements.
