UPDATE: The missing surfer has been found in Virginia Beach. He appears to have no injuries, but rescue crews did take him to the hospital.
Virginia Beach, Va.- Dispatch has confirmed that a person may be missing in the Virginia Beach area.
Around 6:12 p.m. dispatch received a call about a surfer who went missing on the 3500 Block of Sandpiper Road.
The person was seen an hour before the call came in. Officials and boat rescues are on the scene, and this continues to be on ongoing investigation.
