Julie Lynn Little
Newport News, Va.–Newport News police arrested a mother on January 30th after they say she was intoxicated in public while she was with her one-year-old child.
Police say they received calls of a incoherent female with a small child in the 900 block of J. Clyde Morris Boulevard. When they arrived, they found Julie Lynn Little, 37, slumped over a stroller with her daughter in it.
Officers say that she was uncooperative when they arrived. Little’s speech was slurred and was swaying while standing and she stumbled whenever she tried to walk.
Little was arrested and charged with one count of being Drunk in Public and one count of Felony Child Neglect.
Her one year old daughter is currently in the custody of a family friend.
