It was a beautiful day in San Francisco for fans to come back out to Super Bowl City and check out all the festivities. Among them, June Austen and her husband Richard Austen, who are both from the Great Bridge area in Chesapeake.

"We didn't know all of this was going on, but we're glad to be here today," Austen said.

San Francisco, Calif. After searching high and low, NewsChannel 3 found a few fans with local ties to Hampton Roads.

They are in San Francisco getting ready to leave on a cruise to Mexico, but they didn't realize they were staying right in the middle of all the excitement.

"It's awesome. This is fun. We've had a great time already. It's a big build up to a Super Bowl," she said.

As the city started getting ready for the all-day events, many others came pouring in, including Redskins fan Richard.

"Born and raised, I bleed burgundy and gold. My dad would disown me otherwise," Richard said.

As far as finding other fellow Redskins fans go, "I haven't seen any yet today," Richard said. "But I don't know. I just got here and I'll look for them though. I'll find them if they're here."
