Observant employee foils robbery attempt at Hampton bank

Hampton, Va. – Two men are wanted in Hampton for attempting to rob the C & F Bank.

At around 3:10 p.m. on Friday, February 5, police went out to the 3000 block of Coliseum Drive after someone called about an attempted robbery.

They say two suspects went into the bank with their faces covered. An employee saw them  while they were just in the vestibule leading to the bank and used the bank’s electronic lock to make sure that the suspects did not get into the main lobby.

The two men ran away empty handed.

No one was injured.

The first suspect is described as a black male last seen wearing a gray shirt, dark colored pants, with a mask covering his face, and carrying a light blue bag.

The second suspect is described as a black male last seen wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a mask covering his face.
