Virginia Beach, Va. – For drivers traveling down Witchduck Rd. between Virginia Beach Blvd. and the interstate, it’s a bumpy ride.
The road is riddled with potholes.
According to Jim Huntington with the city’s public works dept., the road took a beating during last year’s winter storms.
Huntington says their pothole crews are out constantly trying to patch the problem spots.
The good news – they’re now working on better fix.
In a couple weeks, they'll be paving Witchduck Road between the two interstate ramps. That's where the worst of the pothole are located.
Huntington says they'd been trying to hold off because a major road project will be starting that area soon anyway, but they decided it's just too bad to keep patching.
Drivers say the fix can't come soon enough.
"Hopefully they really do come out and fix it because it does damage people's cars," Aaron Collins said, "especially the alignment.
