Virginia Beach, Va. - The city is beefing up security at Town Center parking garages after nearly 30 cars were broken into earlier this week.
An additional security guard will help to patrol the five city owned garages during the overnight hours, which is the time period of the break-ins.
"Anything they can do to kind of prevent it from happening again would be great," said Kelly Hardgrove, a victim.
Some car windows remain unfixed and glass can be found on the ground near the spot of the garage where the break-ins happened.
"I've never even thought that anything would happen. I feel pretty safe," said Hardgrove.
