Man charged in Norfolk meth lab bust

Norfolk, Va. – A Norfolk man has been charged with several felonies and one misdemeanor following a hidden meth lab bust.

Police found a meth lab in an apartment in the 700 block of West 27th Street while attempting to serve a domestic assault and battery warrant on Sunday.

Officials evacuated the building as Norfolk Fire-Rescue, Norfolk Fire Marshals and the Norfolk Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Division arrived.

Several men were taken into custody at the scene.

James Patterson, 31, was charged with frequenting a drug house. Patterson was released on a criminal summons.

Lance Otis was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, precursor possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintain a drug house. He remains in Norfolk City Jail without bond.

No one was hurt.
