Virginia Beach, Va. – The VBSPCA is expecting the arrival of 18 dogs to join their shelter, thanks to the Nancy Silverman Rescue Ride relocation program.
The program sets up routine live animal transports to relocate adoptable dogs from the Southeast to the Northeast by partnering with certain destination partners. The VBSPCA partnered with the ASPCA through the Nancy Silverman Ride program in early May 2015.
Transporters are currently on their way to the VBSPCA. The dogs are set to arrive near 7 p.m. and will receive a basic veterinary exam before finding their way into their kennels to rest.
The dogs will be assessed by shelter staff and released for adoption later on in the week.
