Newport News, Va. – A time capsule was placed inside the walls at the Newport News City Jail.
The first floor of the jail is undergoing major renovation and the capsule was placed during construction.
A letter from Sheriff Gabe Morgan addressed to the future sheriff was placed inside the capsule along with pictures, pins, patches, badges and newspapers.
