Several Starbucks locations in Hampton Roads now have ABC licenses or are pursuing them through the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
A search of the ABC database reveals six area locations with or in pursuit of alcohol licenses to sell beer and wine on-premises.
The Starbucks locations with active licenses are:
- 5883 Harbour View Boulevard, Suffolk – active license since 2-16-16
- 7550 Granby Street, Norfolk – active license since 3-2-16
- 1416 N Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach– active license since 1-13-16
- 12082 Jefferson Ave, Newport News – active license since 1-13-16
The two Starbucks locations with pending licenses area:
- 145 Granby St, Norfolk – license pending
- 5232 Providence Rd, Virginia Beach – license pending
A spokesperson for the Starbucks at 7550 Granby Street (Selden Arcade) says they will be moving to a new location at Granby and Plume Streets on March 26th. That location will reportedly be a “Starbucks Evenings” store, catering more toward a nighttime atmosphere and featuring a selection of small plates in additional to a wide array of drinks.
