PULASKI, Va. – A father was sentenced to 15 months in jail for felony child abuse and neglect after the death of his five-year-old son, Noah Thomas.

Paul Thomas is accused of leaving Noah and his infant daughter home alone in March 2015.

Noah went missing and his body was found four days later in a septic tank located near the home.

The Commonwealth’s Attorney, the defense and the judge made it clear during Wednesday’s sentencing that they do not believe Thomas had anything to do with his son’s death.

Noah’s mother, Ashley White, was convicted in February of three counts of felony abuse and neglect. Her sentencing is scheduled for May 16.
