Virginia Beach, Va. - Virginia Beach Police detectives are investigating a robbery that took place on Monday, March 7th in the 900 block of Duck Pond Drive.

Police say a senior citizen answered a knock at the door expecting the arrival of a predetermined visitor. Instead, he was greeted by a stranger who forced his way into the home, assaulted the homeowner and demanded money.

Another person entered the home as well and together, both of the suspects robbed the victim of personal property.

Noel Anderson, who lives nearby said, “Man, karma comes back, karma comes back.”

The victim was not injured.

“It just shows you that you should be very careful for who you open the door to," said Marie Smith.

“We will have mothers and fathers and aunties that we all want to protect them to make sure they're okay,” said Anderson.

Others worry about their own safety.

“Pretty concerned because they might be going around to everyone else," said Jordan Sanders.

“That's really messed up that's not cool at all,” said Anderson.

The first suspect was described as a white male wearing a brown leather jacket. He is about 6’0” and has short dark hair and a medium build.

The second suspect is described as male, race unknown, dressed in all dark clothing.

Both suspects fled the scene in a small green pickup truck.

A short time later, a white female was seen on surveillance video using the victim's stolen ATM card.

Anyone who may be able to identify the woman is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
