Virginia Beach, Va. – Tidewater Community College is holding a job fair on March 31.
The fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Joint-Use Library at TCC’s Virginia Beach Campus.
More than 85 area employers will be represented at the job fair, including Bank of Hampton Roads, Bayview Physicians Services, Canon Virginia, Inc., GEICO and Virginia Beach Fire Department.
TCC’s Career Services Center will offer information on career positions, internships and part-time opportunities. Business representatives will meet with jobseekers to share information and make connections.
Participants will be able to meet with staffers from different TCC divisions, including the Center for Military and Veterans Education, TCC Alumni and the Women’s Center’s STEM program.
Participants can also learn interviewing skills with vice president of sales for Orpak USA Pete Moyer from 12:30 p.m. -1:30 p.m. during a special session held in Room L209.
Volunteers with TCC Alumni Council will hold job preparation seminars and photo sessions throughout the job fair including:
- “Leveraging LinkedIn to Promote Your Professional Brand” – Room L201, 2nd floor
- “Interview Skills That Will Get You Hired” – Room L202, 2nd floor
- LinkedIn headshots – Room L118, 1st floor

Job fair participants are encouraged to donate “dress for success” clothing for Samaritan House, giving women transitioning into the workforce wardrobe items. All sizes are needed. Clothing will be collected in Room L120.
