Chesapeake, Va. - Priscilla Dunlap still fights back tears thinking about her recovery from a shooting. Her wrist is still in a cast, where she says a bullet shatter bones. Another shot grazed her stomach.

"I need help dressing, bathing. Family has to prepare my meals," said Dunlap. "It's hard."

Dunlap says she was at work as a nursing assistant at a home on Booker Street in Chesapeake on January 31. She opened the door to her elderly patient's son, but says a man with a gun was behind him. "He just started pulling the trigger," she said.

The son was also shot and is recovering. Luckily, the patient wasn't hurt. "I was hysterical. I was in shock," said Dunlap.

Her injuries have her out of work for now, but she is trying to remain positive about it all. "I know I still have a purpose on this earth because it could've been worse," she said.

Family members started aGoFundMe Page to help her.
