Norfolk International Airport gains 10 percent increase in passengers

Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk International Airport has reported a 10.75 percent increase in passenger activity for the month of February 2016 with 198,064 passengers.

February marked the ninth consecutive month of year-over-year growth at the airport.

This is also the highest February traffic count since 2012.

In other activity, 4,641,425 pounds of cargo were shipped in and out of the airport during February 2016.

This represents a 5.75 percent increase versus February 2015, which saw 4,388,968 pounds of cargo shipped.

The above-mentioned figures are a reflection of the service by the following airlines: American, Delta, Southwest, United and their regional airline partners.

Cargo carriers include Federal Express, Mountain Air Cargo and UPS.
