Gloucester Co. man charged with dealing ecstasy

Gloucester County, Va. – The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man for dealing ecstasy.

On March 24 at about 6 p.m., narcotics investigators from the sheriff’s office executed a search and arrest warrant in the 7100 block of  Doe Drive in the Gloucester Courthouse area.

The search of the apartment was part of an ongoing investigation for dealing drugs, namely ecstasy, by the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators. During the search of the apartment, narcotics investigators found heroin, marijuana, packaging material and other drug paraphernalia.

The suspected dealer, Anthony Distefano, was armed with a loaded semi-automatic handgun at the time of his arrest. Police recovered approximately $700 worth of MDMA (ecstasy), approximately $100 worth of heroin and approximately $800 worth of marijuana.

Distefano, 25, was arrested for one count of distribution of ecstasy. He was released on a $3,500 secured bond. Additional possession and distribution of controlled substances charges are still pending at the investigation continues.
