Richmond, Va. – Richmond Police have arrested three suspects for the shooting of a 16-year-old male near a playground in Richmond’s Fairfield Court neighborhood.

With the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Regional Fugitive Task Force, police arrested Keon C. Anderson, 18, Corey L. Cosby, 19, and Todd W. Jones, Jr., 18, all of Richmond, WTVR reports.

All three teens have been charged with attempted murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

“The arrest of these three individuals is the result of the public and the Department working together to share information with the goal of ridding our neighborhoods of individuals who are intentionally using firearms to inflict harm on others,” Chief Alfred Durham said.

At approximately 5:15 p.m., Monday, March 28, officers were called to the 2200 block of North 25th Street for the report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
