Williamsburg, Va. – A 75-year-old man died Thursday after striking a guardrail and then a tree on I-64 westbound, police said.
Shortly before 5 p.m., Virginia State Police were called to investigate a fatal single-vehicle crash on I-64 west just past Busch Gardens.
Police say Hans Ernest Lorenz was driving a 2004 Toyota Camry when he ran off the road and over corrected, running off the road for a second time. His car hit the guardrail and then a tree.
Lorenz died upon impact.
