Chesapeake, Va. – A Chesapeake man recently got very lucky with a scratcher from the Virginia Lottery!
Patrick McNeal was gearing up for a night of pizza with his son when he decided to cash in a few winning Virginia Lottery tickets.
He used his winnings to buy a few more tickets, including a $5 Triple Black Cherry scratcher that turned out to be a $250,000 winner!

McNeal was already planning to retire from the U.S. Coast Guard after 22 years of service. He says his winnings will help pay for his childrens’ education.
The winning ticket was bought at Peake Mart at 4505 Old Battlefield Boulevard.
Triple Black Cherry is one of dozens of Scratcher games available from the Virginia Lottery. It features prizes ranging from $5 up to $250,000.
