TSA officers stopped a man at a checkpoint and detected a gun in his carry-on bag Friday afternoon. The X-ray machine detected the gun as it passed along the conveyor belt inside the man’s carry-on bag.

The Norfolk Airport Authority Police confiscated the gun and gave the man a citation on a state weapons charge.

A man was stopped by TSA officers at a checkpoint with a 9 mm handgun on April 10 and a woman was caught with a .380 caliber firearm on April 21.
