Suffolk, Va. – An 80-year-old woman was injured in an ATV accident in Suffolk on the evening of April 30.
Suffolk Police responded to the 1100 block of Audubon Road around 6:03 p.m. after the accident was called in. The accident occurred appproximately a mile off the road on farmland.
Police discovered that the ATV was being driven by a man with the 80-year-old female as a passenger.
Both received emergency medical assessment and treatment from Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel. The woman was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the woman is not related to the man who was driving the ATV.
Alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
