SUFFOLK, Va. - May 4th, a pun on "May the force be with you", is Star Wars Day. The day had its beginnings in 1979 and with the release of the seventh movie in the series,The Force Awakens, the series has experience a tremendous resurgence in popularity. On May 4th, fans everywhere celebrated the sci-fi series in a variety of different ways.
This year, spray paint artist Mark Fussell came to the Morgan Memorial Library in Suffolk to demonstrate his expertise. He also taught local Star Wars fans how to create their own Star Wars-inspired works of art with spray paint.
Fussell, a Norfolk resident, also posts online spray paint tutorials.
