NEW YORK – The U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) bands, and U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Silent Drill Team are scheduled to host a variety of performances, May 25-31, in celebration of the 2016 Fleet Week New York (FWNY).
Fleet Week New York is in its 28th year. The weeklong celebration has been held nearly every year since 1984.
It is an unparalleled opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today’s maritime services.

Wednesday, May 25th
- 5 – 6 p.m., Pier A, 22 Battery Place | Manhattan, N.Y. – Navy Band Northeast’s Rock Band, Rhode Island Sound, scheduled to perform a public concert at Pier A in Battery Park. Event is free and open to general public.
Friday, May 27th
- Noon – 1 p.m., Military Island (Times Square) | Manhattan, N.Y. – USCG Silent Drill Team scheduled to perform on Military Island in Times Square. Event is free and open to general public.
- 1 – 2 p.m., Foley Square | Manhattan, N.Y. – Navy Band Northeast Ceremonial Band scheduled to perform a public concert at Foley Square. Event is free and open to general public.
- 5 – 6:30 p.m., Military Island (Times Square) | Manhattan, N.Y. – Navy Band Northeast’s Rock Band, Rhode Island Sound, will perform at Military Island in Times Square. The USCG Silent Drill Team will also perform. Event is free and open to general public.
Saturday, May 28th
- 6:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Battery Park | Manhattan, N.Y. – USMC will host Military Day in Battery Park. The event will feature a boot camp-style exercise session (6:30 a.m.), static displays, demonstrations, USMC Battle Colors Detachment performance, and end with a USMC Band performance. Event is free and open to general public.
- 10 a.m. – noon, Eisenhower Park | East Meadow, N.Y. – Navy Band Northeast’s Rock Band, Rhode Island Sound, scheduled to perform a public concert at Eisenhower Park. Event is free and open to general public.
- 10 – 11 a.m., Military Island (Times Square) | Manhattan, N.Y. – USCG Silent Drill Team scheduled to perform on Military Island in Times Square. Event is free and open to general public.

- 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Liberty State Park | Jersey City, N.J. – Event will include performances by the U.S. Fleet Forces Brass Band (10:15 a.m. & 11 a.m.), U.S. Coast Guard Silent Drill Team performance (noon), Navy Band Northeast’s Rock Band, Rhode Island Sound (1 p.m.), and USMC Band (2:30 p.m.). - 1:10 p.m., Citi Field | Flushing, N.Y. – The annual New York Mets/USO Military
Appreciation Day at Citi Field will feature a presentation of colors by the Joint Service Color Guard, and a member of Navy Band Northeast will sing the national anthem. Event is free and open to general public.
