NORFOLK, Va. - TRANSpoken was an event sponsored and coordinated by ACCESS AIDS Care and The LGBT Center of Hampton Roads, with the help of the Virginia Stage Companyand Work I Release.
The event featured transgender members of the Hampton Roads community talking about their experiences and challenging preconceived notions of who trans people are and can be. The goal of the event was to present trans stories in an authentic and positive light through spoken word.
The event was held at Work I Release on May 19 at 7pm. Admission was free and the event was open to the public.
