Peninsula Health District looking for pit bull who bit person in Yorktown

YORKTOWN, Va. – The Peninsula Health District is looking for a tan and white pit bull that bit a person on May 18.

The dog bit the person near the Wawa convenience store on 5824 George Washington Memorial Highway.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the victim may have to get shots to prevent rabies.

The animal will not be taken away from its owner, only placed in an in-home confinement period for 10 days.
