VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Warbirds Over the Beach was a weekend-long event featuring live music, re-enactors, and, of course, the warbirds. The event focused on 1940s-era planes, history, and military aviation tactics.
Sponsored by the Military Aviation Museum, the event spanned 3 days and contained airshows and allowed attendees to actually touch and interact with the planes. If you really wanted to get in on the action, you could purchase a flight in one of the vintage aircraft and enjoy the view of the airshow from the sky.
There is Gopro footage of one of the flights available for those who aren't ready to get into a plane themselves. The airshow took place from May 20-22 and is an annual event at the Military Aviation Museum.
