CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The NFL announced Tuesday at the Spring League Meeting that Atlanta would be hosting Super Bowl LIII in 2019. Atlanta beat out New Orleans by a majority vote. The renovated New Miami Stadium in South Florida was selected over Tampa Bay to host the Super Bowl in 2020.
This will be the first Super Bowl in Atlanta’s new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which is scheduled to be the Falcon’s new home by the start of the 2017 season.
Los Angeles won the bid for Super Bowl LV in 2021. The Rams have plans to build a new stadium in Inglewood, with expectations that it will be ready in time to adequately host the Super Bowl.
