A video posted on YouTube shows a man who appears to be sleeping while driving on autopilot, a special Tesla car feature.
According to Electrek, the video shows the driver of a blue Tesla Model S apparently sleeping while the car was still moving with traffic.
Tesla drivers are supposed to monitor the vehicle and be ready to take control while it is in autopilot mode. If the car cannot continue steering itself, it will show an alert on the dashboard. If the alert is ignored long enough, the car will make a sound and decelerate while activating the hazard lights.
Electrek admits that the video could possibly be fake, but mentions that plenty of people fall asleep at the wheel with or without the autopilot feature.
