VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A bird made contact with Dominion Virginia Power’s equipment causing over 9,200 customers to lose power Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened around 1:30 p.m.
Within an hour, over 4,000 customers were restored, according to Dominion Virginia Power spokesperson Bonita Harris.
The remaining customers had their power restored around 2:45 p.m.
The bird died from its injuries.
