Norfolk, Va. - Whether you`re going to MacArthur Center to shop, eat, or see a movie, you`ll now be able to view artwork created by kids in Hampton Roads.
The Governor`s School for the Arts art gallery opened in the mall today.
'Origin' showcases original work from more than 50 students at the school.
The exhibit includes digital pieces, sculptures, and paintings.
The opening is part of the students final show of the year.
Their art will be judged by a panel including Robert Waldrop, who once worked for Andy Warhol.
"To have him look at our students work and then to judge their work is...that's phenomenal," said Andrea Warren, the Executive Director of the Governor's School. "How many high school students do you know that have that opportunity? That's why the governor's school is so great."
Warren says art pieces will rotate out over the next few months.
They`ll also offer summer art classes.
