NORFOLK, Va. – PechaKucha Night has arrived in Norfolk. This event is a creative format started in Japan for people to share ideas, thoughts, art, and much more in a timely fashion. Each speaker is allowed 20 slides which show for 20 seconds each.
This allows each presentation to come in at just under 7 minutes, preventing one speaker from monopolizing the time and another from skipping through important ideas.
This event will be held monthly at Work Release in Norfolk. Official promoter, The Muse Writers Center, hopes PechaKucha Night will help creative people have a venue for their ideas and share their thoughts with their fellow Hampton Roads residents.
PechaKucha Night begins at 5pm with presentations starting at 7pm. The event is free and open to the public.
