PORTSMOUTH, Va. – The Midtown Tunnel will be closed from Friday, June 3 at 8 p.m. until Monday, June 6 at 5 a.m. due to construction.
Traffic will be detoured to the I-264 Downtown Tunnel over the weekend.
Drivers traveling from Norfolk to Portsmouth will follow this signed detour.

Some of the work planned for the weekend includes replacing tile along the walls, relocating cables for future ceiling demolition and the continued construction of a new tunnel tube.
