YORK Co., Va. – A report of a potential explosive device was investigated Thursday afternoon, According to the York- Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.
Portions of the Willow Lakes subdivision are now open and available to come back into after the investigation on the 100 block of Rollins Way ended.
A neighbor said they saw someone with what looked like a pipe-type of device that looked like a possible bomb.
The York County Fire Department and the Virginia Beach Bomb Squad worked together to retrieve the device and they say it was not a danger to the public. The suspect is in protective custody.
