HAMPTON, Va. – SpongeBob SquarePants is leaving his pineapple under the sea in order to entertain and education children at the Hampton History Museum on June 11. The event, “SpongeBob SquarePants Tours the Chesapeake Bay” will feature the cartoon character on Saturday, June 11 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
In addition to learning about the Chesapeake Bay and how to preserve it, children and parents can also create flat SpongeBobs, just like a Flat Stanley, and create watercolors using various techniques.
Activities are free of charge and will take place in the museum’s Great Hall. Admission to the galleries are a reduced rate of $3 per person. Families can also participate in the 2nd Saturday Arts Walk in Downtown Hampton.
