The shed and its contents were declared a complete loss.

SUFFOLK, Va. – Suffolk Fire & Rescue crews  responded to a residential fire Friday afternoon around 3:45 p.m.

Crews encountered heavy smoke and flames rising from a detached shed about 30 feet from the primary residence in the 4600 block of Camellia Drive.

The property owner wasn’t initially home when crews responded, but arrived home shortly after firefighters arrived.

The fire was called under control around 4:00 p.m.

The shed and its contents were declared a complete loss and the neighbor’s shed also sustained minor heat damage.
