NORFOLK, Va. – A former Navy Sailor was sentenced Wednesday for distribution of child pornography.
Jon A. Miller, 47, of Bloxom was sentenced to 10 years in prison with a lifetime of supervised release, according to the Department of Justice.
Miller distributed child pornography by accessing the internet from his Navy Marine Corps Intranet workstation at Naval Surface Combat Systems Command on Wallops Island.
Miller also sent emails to other people which included sexually explicit images of female children.
He was caught as a result of loading child porn onto Twitter which resulted in Twitter notifying the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. This then allowed NCIS agents to identify him.
