Four shot in Washington D.C., officer struck by vehicle

WASHINGTON, D.C. – D.C. Police are investigating a shooting that injured four people.

It happened at North Capitol and New York Avenue Wednesday evening.

A police officer on a bike was hit by a car at the scene.

According to our CBS affiliate WUSA9, all four male victims were conscious and breathing when officers arrived. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said the gunman targeted one of the men outside Big Ben liquor and shot him multiple times. The man is in stable condition.

Police are looking for a black male suspect last seen wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
