Shooting in Hampton has police looking for male suspect

HAMPTON, Va. – Police are looking for a male suspect in connection with a Thursday morning shooting.

Around 3:30 a.m. police responded to a shooting in the 2100 block of Shell Road.

Andre Marquis Monroe, a 32-year-old Newport News Man is wanted in connection with this incident.

Monroe’s last known address is in the 500 block of 13th Street.

He’s currently wanted for one count of maiming, one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, one count of shooting within the City limits and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The 34-year-old victim was transported by medics to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
