Meteorologist April Loveland’s First Warning Forecast
A hot and humid day across the region…Temperatures mainly in the lower 90s with upper 80s along the Eastern Shore. Dewpoints have also risen into the 60s, making it feel a bit uncomfortable. Partly sunny skies through the afternoon. Keeping a slight chance for a late afternoon/evening pop-up shower or thunderstorm…but looks like for the most part, everyone will remain dry. We will continue to keep an eye on any pop-up convection.
Sunday features another hot and humid day with highs in the low to mid-90s. Winds will pick up out of the WNW at 10-15 mph. Could see gusts anywhere from 20-30 mph. Putting a 20-30% chance for an afternoon/evening pop-up shower and storm. As we head into Sunday night, we’ll see some clearing skies with a cooler and drier air mass moving into the region.
Monday will be cooler with highs in the lower 80s and dewpoints will drop into the 40s and 50s, making for a more comfortable day.
Rain and storm chances will increase for midweek.
