CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – A young man surprised his family and friends by walking at his graduation in Lackawanna County.
“Walking at graduation” means something different and much more difficult to Corey Felski. He has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair to get around most of the time.
Felski stunned everyone present at Abington Heights High School’s graduation Friday night when he got up out of his motorized wheelchair and walked with a walker to receive his diploma.
His teachers said he got his motorized chair about a year ago, and he has been practicing for this moment ever since.
After receiving his diploma, he raised his hand into the air, and the crowd erupted into cheers and applause.
Congrats to him and the entire class of 2016!
