Three injured after car hits tree in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. – Three people were injured after a Chevrolet Impala overturned and struck a tree.

It happened Friday morning in the 7700 block of South Quay Road in the rural Holland borough.

Police received the call at 11:46 a.m.

According to police, the Chevrolet was traveling westbound when it drove off of the street, overturned and struck the tree.

A man and two juveniles received emergency medical treatment by Suffolk Fire and Rescue personnel.

The man was taken to Sentara Obici Hospital, where he was then airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The children were taken to Sentara Obici Hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
