WASHINGTON, D.C. - Democratic lawmakers launched a sit-in on the House floor Wednesday over gun legislation.
Democratic Virginia and North Carolina U.S. Senators and House representatives are participating in the protest.
Republican representatives from the two states have not made personal comments on Twitter about the sit-in as of Wednesday evening.
Thursday afternoon 3rd District Congressman Bobby Scott told News 3 Democrats are "sick and tired of being stonewalled" on gun control measures and they will continue their protest after the July Fourth break.
