Bluegrass icon Ralph Stanley has died Thursday evening at the age of 89 after his battle with Skin Cancer.
Ralph and his brothers formed a group that paved the path for, what is now, bluegrass music.
Ralph was born and raised in southwest Virginia and had a long career making music and also greatly influencing others’ work.
Many people have taken to social media to honor and remember Ralph Stanley’s life and music.
