PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that happened early Friday morning.
Police were called to the 600 block of Frederick Boulevard around 3:30 a.m.
According to detectives, the suspect entered the store, showed a handgun and demanded money from the employees.
Police said a second suspect stood outside during the robbery attempt. The suspect outside alerted the armed suspect inside who then fled the business without getting anything.
No one was injured during the incident.
The only suspect information is that they both appeared to be male and were wearing dark colored clothing.
