Chesapeake Sheriff holds three day football camp

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – More than 160 boys and girls from ages 10 to 14 had the opportunity to attend Chesapeake Sheriff Jim O’Sullivan’s 7th annual Children Today Leaders Tomorrow Football Camp.

The camp took place June 23 to June 25 at Colon Hall Stadium on 250 Mount Pleasant Road.

Detroit Lions Cornerback Don Carey, Washington Redskins Linebacker Lynden Trail, and members of the Norfolk State University football team arrived for the second day of camp. The players gave the kids advice of how to be successful on and off the field.

Events included playoff games, a championship game and a family cookout. There were also team building exercises, positive re-enforcement and personal leadership development activities.

The camp was free of charge.
