RICHMOND, Va. – Governor Terry McAuliffe announced a major executive order on climate change Tuesday.
The governor signed an executive order directing state agencies to make recommendations on how to reduce carbon emissions by next spring.
McAuliffe is at odds with General Assembly republicans as they put language in the state budget which forbids any spending on items related to the Clean Power Plan, which is currently being challenged in court.
